Superb in every way - *****
Washington House was a very comfortable, relaxing and peaceful place to stay. We stayed for two nights while enjoying a short weekend away. The room was lovely with a beautiful bathroom. We particularly liked the very comfortable bed, very high quality bedding and beautiful fluffy towels. Arthur and Aileen were lovely hosts - they were on hand for advice or to chat but also unobtrusive. Breakfast was delicious.

Bohemian elegance - *****
From the second we walked in the door of this stunning old mansion, we were charmed and delighted. Our host, an older gentleman who had lived in Nairn for 30 yrs, was lovely and just the right amount of chatty. The decor of the house was spot on - bohemian and elegant, w/ all sorts of interesting wall hangings and knickknacks. The rooms were beautiful and comfortable and the hosts thought of everything - homemade shortbread waiting in your room upon arrival? Check. A superb selection of teas and coffee? Check. They also happened to have my favourite brand of soap/skincare on hand - a very luxurious and expensive brand that I was surprised to see in a hotel. I wish we could've stayed a lot longer than we did.

Amazing stay at Washington House - *****
To be honest what’s not to like! Firstly the property itself is absolutely stunning with lots of character and history, secondly the decor is amazing. Every day we pondered over some new artefact, painting or ornament we had not previously spotted. Thirdly the hosts are just lovely, very warm and welcoming, really friendly people you can’t help but take too. Fourth, the room we had was by far one of the best we have ever stayed in, extremely spacious and beautifully decorated and last but not least our breakfast everyday was simply delicious with lots of variety! We never ate again until dinner in the evening! We have truly loved every minute of our stay in Arthur & Aileen’s beautiful home and would highly recommend to anyone considering booking, you will not be disappointed!

Perfection! - *****
What a wonderful place and what a privilege to stay there! Right from the outset, everything was just perfect. The hosts Arthur and Aileen are welcoming and hospitable. They have a beautiful home which is adorned with the most attractive and fascinating artefacts which they have carefully collected over the years. Our room was comfortable and spacious with a view over the sea and a generous well fitted bathroom with lovely toiletries. As for the breakfast, I would struggle to think of a better breakfast with its home made bread and all the ingredients carefully chosen and cooked to the highest standards - I have never tasted such delicious cooked tomatoes!
Based on our experience, I highly recommend Washington House and hope we will be able to stay there in the future.

Our second visit this year and for good reason. Very comfortable, very friendly, very stylish and a very good breakfast. Oh and an excellent bathroom too! Very well placed for Inverness airport. We'd definitely book again.

I don't have much to say about this accommodation. This is because I risk seeming to exaggerate only with compliments! The host was extraordinary, the property beyond expectations and everything at a fair price. Congratulations to the host who is seen doing everything out of passion. I'm glad I didn't choose any other options to stay in Nairn.
